Details of the role
* Hours: Full time, Annualised Hours. Predominantly term time flex with Christmas and New Year off.
* Holiday: 5 Weeks per year plus Bank Holidays pro rata (That's 33 days!)
* Start Date: August 2025 onwards
* Working Hours: Normally a 5 day shift pattern over the 7 day week, involving early openings and late closures.

To be a successful Duty Venue Manager you will need:
Essential Criteria
* At least 12 months experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in high-volume environments
* Availability to work hours including early openings, late closures, and weekends
* Experience in meeting/exceeding performance targets
* Knowledge of relevant legislation (H&S, Food Safety, Licensing Law, etc.)
* Strong leadership and management skills to motivate a large, diverse team
* Effective organisational and time management skills
* Effective communication skills at all levels
* Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a calm, proactive approach
* Proficiency in Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in higher education/campus environment
* Understanding of the Union’s vision, values, and service delivery
* Knowledge of digital rota systems (e.g., Staff Savvy)
* Knowledge of EPOS software (e.g., Fidelity Total Control Premier/GPOS)
* SIA or Personal Licence holder
* Experience in fast-paced catering operations
