Role
Join Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service as a Wholetime Transferee Firefighter. Are you an experienced Firefighter looking for a new opportunity to serve and protect County of Staffordshire? Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service is seeking dedicated Wholetime Firefighters to transfer to our dynamic team and help make Staffordshire safer.
About The Role
As a Wholetime Firefighter in Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, you’ll bring your skills and experience to a forward-thinking Fire Service committed to excellence. You’ll respond to emergencies, engage with local communities, and work as part of a motivated team to deliver high-quality fire and rescue services. If you’re looking for a new challenge and want to make a meaningful impact on the safety of Staffordshire’s communities, we’d love to hear from you. If successful, you should be willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holiday and be prepared for deployment anywhere within Staffordshire.
Requirements
* All candidates must be competent firefighters, currently serving in a UK Fire and Rescue Service (confirmation from your current FRS required).
* All candidates must hold an in date EFAD qualification.
Selection Process
* Online application
* Completing a competency-based question (as part of the online application)
* Assessment Centre (comprising of interview and presentation)
Pre-employment Check Requirements
* All candidates appointed will be subject to pre-employment checks; a full medical assessment, enhanced DBS check, previous employment references and a fitness test (Chester treadmill or an alternative as per SFRS policy).
* A current maintenance of competency should be evidenced during pre-employment checks followed by a transfer of skills (conversion) programme managed by Learning and Development prior to any operational placement on station.
