About The Role
Help us support some of the most vulnerable people at Calverley Hill Service as they progress from homelessness to supported independence.
At Salvation Army Homes, we provide comprehensive, high-quality housing services, support and resettlement for those experiencing homelessness and in need of support and accommodation. As a Housing Management Officer, you will:
* Get to know and build the trust of our clients.
* Help clients live independently.
* Encourage participation in social and leisure programmes.
* Support residents with the practicalities of everyday living.
Qualifications
A Housing Management Officer should embody our delivery values and behaviours: loving the work, helping people thrive, and always finding effective ways to do so.
* Be a confident, capable communicator, unfazed by difficult situations.
* Build trusting, professional relationships and maintain a high level of resilience.
* Take an asset-based approach to empower people to develop their skills, strengths, and talents.
* Have good knowledge or experience working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable groups.
* Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help our clients.
* Shift pattern is 7 days a week (8 am to 10 pm). Shifts are 8 hours: 7.5 working hours with a 30‑minute break.
A 6‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.
