UX Researcher (SC Cleared) – Contract
Day Rate: Up to £420 Inside IR35

A leading consultancy is supporting a major transformation programme to modernise a long-standing platform. As part of this work, an experienced UX Researcher is required to support discovery activity and help define the future-state user experience for a business-critical internal system.
The successful contractor will work closely with stakeholders and users across multiple teams to understand how the current system is being used, where friction exists, and what capabilities are needed moving forward.
This is a highly collaborative role within a technology-focused environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working across complex internal systems and translating user insight into meaningful recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct user research and stakeholder interviews across operational and technical teams
* Understand current workflows, user behaviours, and platform dependencies
* Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
* Support discovery activities for the future-state platform
* Contribute to discussions around service modernisation and user-centred design
* Help shape recommendations based on research findings and operational needs
What They’re Looking For
* Strong experience in User Research within digital, software, or enterprise system environments
* Proven ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and gather user requirements
* Experience working within complex enterprise or government organisations
* Comfortable engaging with both technical and operational users
* Active SC Clearance is essential
* Candidates with transferable SC clearance may also be considered, depending on timelines
