Karma Cans is one of the largest independent corporate catering companies in London. We believe 'the best ideas happen at the table'; therefore, taking the time out of your day to eat as a team is crucial to company success and culture. Started in 2014 by sisters Gini and Eccie Newton, from their home kitchen, cooking and cycling food across London each morning, we now deliver over 1,000 meals daily across the city; catering for incredible clients such as Salesforce, Airbnb, Amazon, Spotify, and many more. Gini and Eccie have built this business from the ground up, creating a good service and a community around the table.

This year, we want to grow by 45% across all channels, core clients, events, and self-serve. Karma Cans has 100s of clients we serve daily, providing a wide range of products for breakfast, lunch, meetings, and events. We want to grow our base of regular clients and introduce new revenue streams from events. Thinking outside the box and being creative will really serve you well in this role!
What we're looking for:
We are looking for someone with a passion for events who can join our team to help us achieve our ambitious growth goals. You’ll report to our Sales Lead and support the end-to-end execution of our events.
* Support our Event Coordinator in the seamless end-to-end execution of events
* Confidently selling our services to new and existing clients
* Engaging in targeted outreach to event spaces and companies to support the overall growth of the events department
* Identify opportunities to upsell and repeat business
* Support our team of Account Managers in the quoting and planning of events, providing high standards of service and strong client communication
* Oversee set-up, service, and breakdown at events, leading the onsite team when needed
About you:
* To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be a hustler. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced working environment and is comfortable being the face of Karma Cans on-site.
* Are you a keen problem solver? Can you handle delivery delays, last-minute dietary requirement requests, and solve our clients' love-life drama? Then this is the right role for you!
* Being highly organised and having a strong attention to detail is super important. You need to think about what our clients will need, even if they don’t ask for it. Going over and above to plan events down to the most minor of details.
* You’ll be working closely with our Operations Team and Head Chef to ensure a seamless service, so being a team player is important.
* There will be the expectation that you sometimes need to work outside of our standard hours. We value work-life balance at Karma Cans, and whilst we work hard, we also want to enjoy what we do! You’ll be supported in taking back overtime hours to ensure a healthy balance!
