Hays Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated andpassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a primary or secondary school student in Bristol. This is a part-time position, with morning hours only, providing tailored support to an individual student. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will help the students with their learning and development, fostering a positive, supportive environment that meets their unique needs.Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 support to a student, helping them with their academic tasks and personal development.
2. Assist the student with specific learning difficulties or special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their full participation in class activities.
3. Support the students in their emotional, social, and behavioural development, promoting confidence and independence.
4. Liaise with teachers to ensure the student's progress and well-being are monitored and supported.
5. Assist with in-class activities and provide additional help where required.
6. Help prepare resources and materials to support the student’s learning experience.
Key Requirements:
7. Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting or with children who have additional needs.
8. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students.
9. A patient and empathetic approach, with a focus on student well-being and academic progress.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider school team.
11. Enhanced DBS check (Hays can assist with this if needed).
12. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience is desirable but not essential.
