Job Summary
Enable are looking for Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to support three wonderful ladies at a West End, Glasgow HMO service with varied needs. This is a crucial role that ensures the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of our service users are met, providing personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, shopping, café visits, and community engagement.
Location & Schedule
Location: West End, Glasgow
Shift Pattern: 8 AM – 8 PM (Day Shift Only) – 24 Hours per Week (Female only)
Responsibilities
* Assist with daily personal care and support activities.
* Prepare and serve meals, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
* Administer medication and maintain medication records.
* Run shopping and other errands, including grocery and dry‑cleaning.
* Accompany service users to cafés, shops, parks and other community activities.
* Support and encourage community engagement, socialising and positive behaviour.
* Help plan and organise daily and weekly activities for Sarah, Ellen and Janice.
* Ensure all tasks are carried out safely, following person‑centred approaches.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in a support worker or personal assistant role is preferred.
* Knowledge of person‑centred approaches, positive behaviour support, moving and handling, and health and social care training.
* SVQ in Health and Social Care (or comparable) – required for SSSC registration; Enable may fund qualification.

Additional Information
The salary is 12.82 GBP per hour. The successful applicant will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of their start date. The cost of PVG is paid upfront by the organisation and deducted from your wage if successfully appointed.
