Overview

Our client is seeking a full-time, permanent Paralegal to join their Litigation and Family team, with an immediate start available.

The successful candidate will work within a busy and supportive department, acting for individuals on a variety of matters, including family, civil, and commercial litigation. The firm offers extensive training opportunities and strongly encourages career progression and professional development.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

You will advise clients, with supervision where necessary, in areas including:

* Civil litigation matters
* Family law
* Commercial transactions

Other responsibilities include:

* Handling calls, taking messages, and reporting back to fee earners, including managing new enquiries
* Taking client instructions, providing updates to clients and third parties on case progression (in meetings, by telephone, and via email)
* General file administration and housekeeping
* Drafting initial emails, letters, court documents, and financial statements
* Meeting deadlines and contributing to monthly team financial targets
* Participating in firm-wide and departmental training sessions
* Supporting the training and development of junior colleagues


Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

* Previous experience in civil litigation, family law, or commercial transactions
* Proven ability to manage responsibility and progress files independently where appropriate
* Strong technical skills with an innovative approach to problem solving
* Excellent client management experience and interpersonal skills
* Efficient file management and organisational abilities
* Strong client focus and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
* Drive, enthusiasm, and the ability to prioritise effectively
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Commercial awareness and sound financial management
* Flexibility, resilience, and commitment
