QA/QC Manager
Role summary
The QA/QC Manager will lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control functions for a major complex construction project, ensuring works meet the highest standards of safety, durability, and performance. The role oversees compliance with design intent, technical specifications, and statutory regulations, while driving a right-first-time culture to support programme milestones and a seamless handover.
Core Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, aligned with trade contractor quality plans, for all construction works (all packages).
2. Procure and monitor trade contractor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for all packages, particular attention to critical elements such as long-span steel, frame construction, roof systems, specialist MEP, facades.
3. Coordinate with design/engineering consultants/contractors to resolve complex interfaces such as roof-to-bowl, MEP penetrations, faade systems.
4. Lead material inspections off and on site (structural steel, precast, envelope and cladding, specialist packages).
5. Manage NCRs with construction team, root-cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions.
6. Conduct regular quality audits of subcontractor works across substructure, superstructure, MEP, envelope and fit out.
