Job Overview
Attached to the Wood Lane Community Centre, our nursery has a real community, family feel and the nursery staff and children have the opportunity to get involved with local projects and activities.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nursery Practitioner to join our team full-time, working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
This position is initially to provide maternity cover, with the want to move into a permanent part-time role thereafter.
Responsibilities:
· Be a "key-person" as appropriate, having responsibility for overall child's welfare and parent partnerships
· To plan and implement the curriculum with use of the EYFS framework to support the age and needs of the children
· Observe each child's progress and report on achievements using learning journeys
· Develop positive relationships with parents/carer
· Take a role in providing an environment where children value and respect different cultures, religion, language and disability and ensure that toys and games reflect this within the setting
· Undertake a shared responsibility for Health, Safety and cleanliness throughout the Nursery
· Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by your manager
Essentials
* Pediatric First Aid Training.
* Must hold qualification at NVQ level 3
* Good knowledge of Ofsted standards and health & safety legislation.
