At Rick Stein Restaurants, we’re all about fresh seafood, simple cooking done brilliantly, and making every guest feel genuinely welcome. We’re now looking for a confident, experienced Head Bar Person to lead our bar team and ensure every guest enjoys exceptional service.

What you’ll be doing
1. Leading and supporting the bar team, ensuring smooth, efficient, and friendly service
2. Preparing and serving drinks to a high standard, including wines, cocktails, beers, and soft drinks
3. Creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere at the bar for every guest
4. Training and coaching bar staff in drinks knowledge, upselling, and guest engagement
5. Managing bar stock, ordering, and deliveries to maintain a well-organised bar
6. Sharing knowledge of our drink’s menu, wines, and daily specials with the team and guests
7. Taking and processing orders accurately and efficiently
8. Ensuring compliance with licensing, health & safety, and food hygiene standards
9. Collaborating with the restaurant and kitchen teams to maintain smooth service flow
What we’re looking for
10. Previous bar experience in a supervisory or leadership role
11. Strong knowledge of drinks, wines, and cocktails, with the ability to train others
12. Excellent communication and leadership skills, inspiring a team to deliver exceptional service
13. A friendly, positive attitude and genuine love of hospitality
14. Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment
15. Great attention to detail and pride in presentation
16. Reliable, team-focused, and proactive approach
