Job Purpose
We are seeking an exceptional leader to take on the role of Head of Operations across a group of specialist nursing dementia homes. This role is central to achieving our vision: five Outstanding-rated homes and establishing ourselves as the UK's leading provider of specialist dementia care.
The successful candidate will be a high-calibre, strategic people manager with strong operational and quality expertise. This is a permanent, long-term position with the potential to step up and take on wider responsibilities within the organisation in the future.

Role & Expectations
* Provide inspirational leadership to Registered Managers, ensuring services consistently deliver excellence in care, compliance, and efficiency.
* Drive improvement against key performance indicators (occupancy, payroll costs, quality performance) while raising the bar on outcomes.
* Lead on operational delivery with scope for input into compliance, quality, and strategic development.
* Work in close partnership with the Director, who leads on business development, while bringing your own ideas and insight to enhance operations.
* Support the delivery of the organisation's 2025–2028 business plan, ensuring stability, sustainable growth, and quality improvements.
* Play a pivotal role in preparing services for CQC inspections, with a clear aim of achieving
Outstanding
ratings.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Provide oversight and coaching to Registered Managers, supporting them to meet and exceed operational and quality targets.
* Ensure homes operate efficiently, effectively, and always with residents at the heart of decision-making.
Quality & Compliance
* Champion best practice and embed a strong quality culture across all services.
* Work collaboratively with teams to identify areas for improvement, with a relentless focus on achieving

People Leadership
* Be a visible, supportive leader with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing managers.
* Build stability through long-term commitment, fostering a culture where staff feel valued and supported.
Financial & Strategic Contribution
* Work closely with leadership to deliver financial plans, balancing quality with efficiency.
* Ensure resources are used effectively to maintain the organisation's strong financial performance.
* Contribute to long-term strategic growth and service development.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:
* An experienced senior leader in health or social care, with a proven track record in operations, quality, or a hybrid of both.
* A strong people manager, able to inspire, support, and hold teams accountable.
* Commercially astute, with experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.
* Knowledgeable in compliance and quality frameworks, with a clear understanding of what it takes to achieve
Outstanding
CQC ratings.
* Committed and ambitious, with a history of long tenure and progression in previous roles.
