Complex Needs Support Worker (Children)
* Job Type: Part-time
* Location: Greater Manchester
* Salary: £15-16 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Support Worker to provide specialised care for a child with complex care needs, including epilepsy. This role requires a compassionate individual with at least 6 months of experience in complex care within the UK, specifically in PEG feeding and managing epilepsy. We are looking for someone who can commit to specific shifts, listed below, on a long-term basis. Please note, we do not provide sponsorships for this position.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide direct care and support to a child with complex needs, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
* Manage PEG feeding, including all related hygiene and equipment maintenance.
* Monitor the child's health condition, particularly managing epilepsy, and reporting any changes.
* Engage the child in activities that support their development and well-being.
* Maintain clear and accurate records of care provided.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role within the UK.
* Proven experience in complex care settings for children.
* Specific experience in managing care for children with epilepsy.
* Specific experience in PEG feeding.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children.
* A compassionate and patient approach to care.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* An up-to-date DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service is required. Support is available for new DBS applications.
* Right to work in the UK.
Shifts:
* Monday and Wednesday: 4 PM - 8 PM
* Saturday: 8 AM - 12:30 PM
