Overview
Hybrid role with occasional travel to Glasgow or Newcastle. 12 Month fixed term contract. Salary £37,600 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience. You will join the procurement team with a focus on the IT category and banking operations/credit risk agencies, collaborating across the Bank and developing relationships with key business stakeholders and suppliers.
Open to candidates with procurement experience in Software Applications, IT Managed Services, Information Security, Telecoms, Credit Risk Agencies, Print and Banking Operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing category support across one of three broad areas: IT Infrastructure (Platforms, Cyber, Core Infrastructure, Telecoms), Enterprise Applications (IT Application Software, IT Managed Services, IT Services), and Banking Operations & Services (Credit Risk Agencies, Print).
* Delivery of savings targets in line with Procurement and business area targets.
* Creating strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Bank and with supplier relationships.
* Leading tendering processes and procurement initiatives, ensuring stakeholder requirements are met within timeframes and terms are commercially favorable for the Bank.
* Market intelligence: understanding trends, supplier strengths/ weaknesses, and future directions for the Bank’s requirements.
* Supporting and promoting procurement policy and compliance within the supplier governance framework.

It’s a Bonus If You Have (but not essential)
* CIPS qualification, or working towards a CIPS qualification.
* Knowledge of Risk Process.
* Sound understanding of Commercial and Legal Language.

Legal and Checks
Although some roles allow you to be based anywhere in the UK, confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If successful, pre-employment checks include credit and criminal record checks and three years of satisfactory references. If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, enhanced pre-employment checks may be required (six years of regulatory references). You will be subject to periodic employment checks once in the role.
