Job Description Post: Part-time Senior Designer Department: Multimedia Grade: Senior Executive Officer Reports to: Lead Designer Scope The Senior Designer carries a range of key project management and operational responsibilities across the design team within the Multimedia Learning Resources and Engagement Team. All activities of the post-holder will support the achievement of Team, Business Unit and Corporate objectives. Key corporate responsibilities To contribute fully, at the appropriate level, to the operations of the relevant Business Unit in order to achieve the objectives of CCEAs Corporate and Operational Plans. The post holder will ensure the compliance of self and, where appropriate, others with these frameworks such that they support the achievement of CCEAs Corporate and Operational objectives. Key accountabilities The post holder will: assist in the management of the design process for a range of projects across print and digital design from initial concept to final execution. Ensuring the objectives of project plans are met, that projects are quality assured and completed within agreed timescales; stay up-to-date with industry trends, design software and emerging technologies, to continuously improve design processes and deliver creative solutions for a variety of target audiences; collaborate effectively with internal teams across CCEA, identifying areas of improvement that will enhance their end-product and internal workflows; represent CCEA Multimedia while presenting successful design proposals to clients both internally and externally; identify and recognise barriers to project progress and the completion of milestones and deliverables, ensuring remedial action is implemented in a timely manner; report to the Line Manager indicating the progress of each project they are responsible for and drawing attention to any increase in risk; be required to undertake any other duties, as appropriate to the level of the post, to support the team objectives as directed by line management. Salary: Salary will be paid monthly in arrears by the BACS system on or before the last banking day of the month. The salary for this post will be on the NJC scale points 19 - 25, currently £31,067 - £35,235 per annum (pro-rata). Annual leave: You would be entitled to 24 days annual leave (pro-rata). The leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year. Entitlement in the leave year 2025/26 will be calculated on a pro-rata basis depending on the number of full weeks worked in this leave year.
