Administrator / Document Controller Construction & Engineering Location – Cumbernauld, Scotland Sector – Rail, Civil Engineering, Power & Energy A fantastic opportunity to join an established, national engineering contractor as an Administrator & Document Controller providing business support to the regional support functions and operational works delivery teams. The role provides varied duties and responsibilities and as an established contractor offers longevity through secured contracts and projects with key clients. The Role The duties for this role involve working with the Scotland regional business units and project teams including senior management, supporting multi-disciplinary portfolio of works, with duties including; arranging meetings, producing minutes, compiling project packs, chasing documentation from designers / clients and uploading to document control systems for the controlled transmission and receipt of all documentation to and from Network Rail.. Good IT skills/MS Office use, organised and self-starter Day to day responsibilities will typically include assisting with the collation of Regional SHEQ (safety, healthy, quality & environment) data along with coordinating with the operational teams for KPI/KRA Data for a range of clients including both Network Rail and SPEN. Duties will include but not be limited to: Organisation of project / engineering associated documents. Coordinating with the different departments within the organisation and ensuring that documents are kept in the right location and are accessible to all internal services. Working to strict deadlines and ensuring that all departments of the organisation are following the same procedures with regards to document control. Ensuring that documents are in the right location, categorised according to the type of document. This involves checking and approving documents before they are filed and liaising with internal and external parties to ensure that documents contain correct and understandable information with regards to their categorisation Issuing of project documentation in line with client requirements. Collating information form site teams for timely submissions on a weekly basis. Update internal systems as required Perform general, internal administrative duties, including stationary ordering, copying drawings, copying CDs and general photocopying. Any other administrative duties as deemed appropriate by the region and line manager. Requirements To excel in this position, you will have previous experience Administration in a construction /civil engineering and/or rail organisation. It may be beneficial for candidates to hold prior document control experience but these skills / responsibilities can be taught if prior experience is limited in this area.
