Research Partnerships & Contracts Manager
Rate: £51.92/hour (PAYE)

Location: London (Hybrid Tue–Thu)
Role Overview
Hands‑on role focused on executing and negotiating collaborative research partnerships. The emphasis is on research contract delivery, not sales or senior strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute end‑to‑end research contract negotiation and delivery
* Manage a high‑volume portfolio of research agreements (25–80/year)
* Negotiate IP, joint development, data use, publication, and open‑source terms
* Support industry–academic research collaborations in physical sciences & engineering
* Work closely with researchers, legal teams, and external partners
* Ensure contracts are practical, executable, and optimise IP value
Required Experience
* Proven experience negotiating research contracts or research partnerships
* Background in research partnerships or applied research operations (not sales)
* Experience with IP and joint development frameworks
* Comfortable in a delivery‑focused, operational role
* Bachelor’s degree required; science or engineering background preferred
