About your role
As a Support Worker, you will support individuals with complex needs such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviours, physical disabilities, and Mental Health conditions.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the highest quality of care through person-centred care plans to achieve and exceed potential
* Promote the rights and dignity of people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and behaviours described as challenging
* Facilitate social, educational or work activities (e.g., visiting family and friends, walks, shopping, recreational activities)
* Liaise with families, friends, advocates, external agencies and the management team to provide a consistent approach
* Complete records and documentation of progress, incidents and activities
* Uphold privacy, rights, dignity, health and wellbeing of individuals
* General housekeeping and personal care tasks as required to support the people we care for
Requirements
* Compassionate and committed with a desire to make a positive difference
* Genuine interest in working with our client group
* Ability to adapt approach to individual needs and willingness to learn
* Flexible work availability, 11.25 hour shifts including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and waking nights
* Experience in Health and Social Care is an advantage but not essential
