Role Overview: We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. This remote, part-time contract role focuses on the precision and clarity of technical communication. You will be responsible for training the AI model to generate accurate code documentation, user manuals, API guides, and step-by-step technical instructions. You will craft prompts that test the model's technical literacy and edit its responses to ensure they are logically structured, technically accurate, and easy for users to follow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design prompts that simulate real-world technical requests, such as "Write a Python script to scrape a website" or "Explain the difference between TCP and UDP to a junior developer."
* Review and edit AI-generated code snippets and technical explanations for accuracy, syntax correctness, and adherence to best practices (e.g., proper commenting, variable naming).
* Optimize the AI's output for specific formats, such as Markdown, JSON, or XML, ensuring the model handles structure and indentation correctly.
* Collaborate on creating style guides for technical documentation to help the AI distinguish between API reference material and end-user tutorials.
* Identify and correct "hallucinations" in technical facts, such as non-existent libraries, deprecated functions, or incorrect system requirements.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in technical writing, software documentation, or instructional design (CS background is a plus).
* Basic to intermediate familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) to evaluate code-related prompts.
* Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible language for various audiences.
* Meticulous attention to detail regarding syntax, formatting (Markdown/LaTeX), and terminology.
* Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.
Compensation and Benefits:
* Rate: Earn up to $18 USD/hr (Rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
* Flexibility: 100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.
