Close to the coast and with very easy access to the M4 corridor. The area has excellent local schools.
We are a forward-thinking practice with 19,026 patients, actively involved in the Bridgend East Network Cluster and Pen y Bont Health Ltd, the first federated GP Cluster in Wales.

The practice team includes 8 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, Pharmacists, a Nurse Manager, Practice Nurses, HCAs, and administrative staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizational leadership, ensuring smooth practice operations, service improvements, and achieving key targets across clinical and administrative areas.
Candidates should have experience in business management or a similar role, with solid knowledge of finance, HR, and planning. Excellent communication, leadership, and IT skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
This role provides leadership, strategic vision, and management to develop the practice to meet future quality and business needs, including delivering high-quality patient care, maximizing profitability, and maintaining a positive working environment.
The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, be well-organized, motivated, and financially savvy. They will have delegated responsibility for managing the practice, reporting regularly to the partnership.
The role requires balancing strategic leadership with effective management of daily operational issues through appropriate delegation, while remaining accountable.
The post-holder will manage non-clinical work of staff to ensure high-quality services across reception, administration, secretarial, and clinical areas.
They will be the senior non-clinical figure, leading practice strategy, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and implementing best management practices in partnership with the team.

Job responsibilities
Practice Business Manager
* Staff Management: Oversee all administrative and clinical staff.
* Salary: £46,850 to £53,602 per annum.
* Working pattern: Full-time.
Partnership issues, planning, and service development
* Ensure delivery of high-quality care to the registered population.
* Lead organizational development and review services.
* Identify new opportunities, assess viability, and develop business plans.
* Support cluster initiatives and contractual service opportunities.
* Review clinical services periodically and implement changes.
* Address challenges and threats proactively.
* Manage partnership and team meetings, ensuring actions are implemented.
* Advise on policy matters, participate in decision-making, and lead on partnership changes.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements, including health & safety, employment law, and GMS contract.
* Draft or review Partnership Agreements and monitor compliance.

Experience
