The Role and SchoolWe are looking for people with a Sports background to use your skills and knowledge supporting children in a school environment. You will build positive working relationships with pupils and utilise your knowledge of sport to help them to get the most out of their time in education. As a School Sports Assistant you will get a feel for working in schools and gain valuable experience for a potential future in a role working with children.
Requirements
The requirements for the School Sports Assistant position are:
* A desire to work in Special Educational Needs Schools across Teesside and the North East supporting pupils with barriers to learning, additional learning needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
* A warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils
* A sports background that you can incorporate into schools
* Drive or be willing to use public transport
