Maintenance Assistant Manager / Senior Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT MANAGER / SENIOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | Circa €45,300 per annum
In this role, you will support the Maintenance Managers in the effective management and supervision of all maintenance duties. You will execute works allocated by the Technical Services Management Team, ensuring they are carried out in order of priority and that they are reported back on.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Maintenance work as allocated, including Planned Preventative Maintenance
2. Supervision of maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation
3. Providing reports on work completed
4. Completion of statutory / legal paperwork including Gas Safe and electrical installation certification
5. Complying with all divisional procedural standards
6. Providing frontline response for fire alarm activation and other incidents
7. Planning staff rotas to ensure that the Company’s needs are fulfilled and ensure that overtime and third-party costs are managed in accordance with the departmental operating procedure
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive your contracted hours each period.
As our Village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills as you will regularly come into contact with both colleagues and guests.
Essential requirements:
8. Previous supervisory experience
9. Ability to plan, prioritise, manage and supervise work without supervision in a dynamic and fast paced environment
10. Ability to work effectively and as part of a team in dynamic and high pressure situations
11. Ability to communicate well at all levels
12. A current full Irish/EU, Class B (+E), Drivers Licence
One of the following qualifications is required along with suitable working experience in the relevant technical field:
Electrical
NFQ Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Electrical or demonstrable equivalent (i.e. National Craft Certificate)
Experience in the implementation and use of the National Rules for Electrical Installations based on ET101.
Plumbing
NFQ Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Plumbing, Pipefitting or demonstrable equivalent (i.e. National Craft Certificate)
Mechanical
NFQ Level 7 Engineering Services Management
Desirable requirements:
13. Electrical Testing and Verification of Electrical Installations (Qualified Certifier) Course. Registered Electrical Contractor with Safe Electric
14. City & Guilds 9848-51 Certificate in High Voltage Operational Safety or a High Voltage Safety Awareness Course
15. NFQ Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Industrial Electrical Engineering (Apprenticeship)
16. Domestic Gas Safety Course
17. Domestic Servicing Training Course
18. Registered Gas Installer with RGII (as an individual or under an employer’s registration
