Responsibilities
1. Lead, support and mentor planners within the planning function.
2. Review drawings and develop accurate material take-offs to inform activity durations.
3. Assess subcontractor programmes and integrate them into the master schedule.
4. Produce programme updates, progress narratives and performance dashboards.
5. Collaborate with pre-construction, engineering, commercial and operational teams.
6. Translate construction methodology into detailed, logical programme activities.
7. Prepare look-aheads and support collaborative planning workshops.
8. Identify programme risks and communicate mitigation strategies.
9. Support change management, including CE programmes and NEC entitlement.
Experience Required
10. HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction.
11. Demonstrable planning experience with a main contractor.
12. Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
13. Understanding of NEC contract planning and change management processes.
14. Background in civil engineering or rail construction delivery.
Desirable Knowledge / Skills
15. Experience of planning structural, civil or rail infrastructure projects.
16. Ability to produce visual dashboards, ideally using Power BI.
