The role
Working closely with the IT Director and external technology partners, youll provide multi-level support across end-user technology, servers, networking and business applications while helping deliver ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Youll also play a key role in maintaining service quality during a period of growth and change.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering 1st line, 2nd line and3rd line support across the business
Supporting Windows environments, end-user devices and business-critical systems
Maintaining servers, networking, storage and infrastructure platforms
Managing monitoring, patching, backups and system health checks
Supporting cloud and on-premise environments
Supporting migrations, upgrades and infrastructure deployments
Assisting with security controls, access management and compliance initiatives
Supporting virtualised environments using VMware and/or Hyper-V
Working on change management and continuous improvement activities
Supporting the transition of new technologies into BAU support
What theyre looking for
Youll probably already have experience in a broad IT support, infrastructure or systems environment and enjoy working across multiple technologies rather than being siloed.
Experience in the following would be valuable:
Windows Server administration
Microsoft 365 environments
VMware and/or Hyper-V
Intune and SCCM
DNS, DHCP and networking fundamentals
Endpoint management and device support
Active Directory and access control
ITIL/service-led support environments
Infrastructure projects, upgrades or migrations
Security best practice, patching and system monitoring
Most importantly, theyre looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative and genuinely enjoys improving systems and services rather than simply maintaining them.
