Our well-loved portfolio of retail and commercial brands include Paseo, CottonSofts, KiwiSoft, Tuffy, CUTE & CO., EarthSmart and Livi. Our product range includes toilet roll, facial tissue, paper towel, nappies, and wipes. We have a Cottonsoft team of 200 employees throughout New Zealand and currently operate three manufacturing and warehouse sites - two in the North Island in Auckland and one in the South Island in Dunedin.
To continue our success, we are in the final stages of building our newest manufacturing and warehouse site in the South Island, in Hornby, Christchurch, and are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join us on this exciting journey. The Warehouse Manager will support the set up and lead the Warehouse operations at this greenfield site. This is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday role reporting into our National Logistics Manager (based in Auckland).
The Role:
As the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for:
Supporting the setup of and move into our new site, including operational recommendations
Overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, MPI compliance and dispatch
Leading and supervising a small team of Warehouse Storepersons, providing mentoring, training and development as needed
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Implementing and maintaining efficient systems and processes to improve productivity
Handling reporting, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You:
Safety focussed
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager within FMCG
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and best practices
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Proficient with inventory management software, warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office
An Accredited Facility Operator for MPI (or eligible to train and apply for this)
Proven experience with Chep Pallet Management System.
