Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team within a fast-paced tech subsidiary of a larger corporate group. This role will support the Financial Controller with all aspects of purchase/sales ledger as well with reconciliation, processing month end tasks, etc.
Responsibilities – What YOU will be doing
* All aspects of purchase ledger: Matching, coding and loading of purchase invoices
* Identifying prepayments and applying appropriate schedules
* Collation of weekly payment runs and setting up of supplier payments
* All aspects of sales ledger
* Reviewing and approving sales invoices raised by other departments
* Credit control
* Revenue recognition
* Maintaining supporting documents – e.g. commitments, commission sheet, IFRS
* Posting transactions for all banks and weekly reconciliation
* Fixed asset maintenance and monthly depreciation
* Month end processing tasks
* Accrued income
* Unearned revenue
* Some balance sheet reconciliation
* Journal posting as required
The Candidate – What YOU can bring to the team
* Min. 2 years' experience within a similar role, ideally working towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
* Proficient in the use of accounting software (NetSuite would be a plus)
* Previous experience within a SaaS/Tech company is not essential but would be advantageous
* Excellent communication skills and able to effectively liaise with stakeholders at different seniority levels
* Able to effectively prioritise work and meet deadlines
* Proactive and positive attitude particularly during change and transition phases
