Job Title: Oracle Test Engineer (Contract) Location: Remote (Client based in North Yorkshire) Contract Length: Initial 3 months Rate: £425 per day (Outside IR35) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle Test Engineer to join a client project on an initial 3-month contract. This is a fully remote role supporting a North Yorkshire–based client, focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of Oracle-based solutions through comprehensive testing practices. Key Responsibilities Perform end-to-end testing of Oracle-based systems and solutions Design, develop, and execute test cases for manual and integration testing Conduct API testing to validate system integrations and data flows Identify, log, and track defects using Jira, ensuring clear documentation and follow-up Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage Support system integration testing across multiple platforms and services Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies Required Skills & Experience Strong experience testing Oracle solutions and environments Proven background in manual testing and integration testing Hands-on experience with API testing (e.g., REST/SOAP services) Proficiency in using Jira for defect tracking and test management Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle and best practices Ability to work independently in a remote environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Desirable Skills Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments Familiarity with test automation tools (beneficial but not essential) Previous experience in large-scale enterprise systems
