From initial consultation and design through to the finished product, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality precision components to customers across multiple industries.
The RoleDue to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Fixed Head Turner Programmer to join their expanding machining team in Harlow. This position would suit a skilled engineer with strong programming experience using Mazak Smooth controls and a background in precision machining.Both day and night shift positions are available.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming, setting and operating CNC Fixed Head Turning machinesWorking with Mazak Smooth controlsManufacturing precision components to tight tolerancesReading and interpreting engineering drawingsSelecting appropriate tooling and offsetsInspecting finished components using measuring equipmentEnsuring consistent quality standards are maintainedWorking independently and as part of a skilled engineering teamSupporting continuous improvement within the machining department
RequirementsPrevious experience programming CNC Fixed Head LathesStrong knowledge of Mazak Smooth controlsAbility to work from engineering drawingsExperience machining a variety of materials including exotic alloysGood understanding of tolerances and quality proceduresAbility to self-inspect componentsAerospace or high-precision engineering experience would be advantageous
