Senior Planning Officer Enforcement

Full Time | Monday to Friday
2 Days Per Week in Office
£35.94 per hour
Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Planning Officer Enforcement to join a busy Local Authority team in Walsall on a hybrid basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled planning professional with strong enforcement experience to play a key role in managing complex planning enforcement matters and supporting the wider planning service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Investigate and manage a varied caseload of planning enforcement complaints and breaches
* Prepare and serve enforcement notices, breach of condition notices, and related legal documentation
* Conduct site visits and gather evidence to support enforcement action
* Liaise with residents, developers, councillors, solicitors, and external agencies
* Provide professional planning advice and recommendations
* Represent the Council at appeals, hearings, and public inquiries where required
* Support junior officers and contribute to service improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* Degree in Planning or a related field
* Previous experience working within Planning Enforcement in a Local Authority setting
* Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and enforcement procedures
* Ability to manage complex caseloads independently
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills
