Business Development Director - AI (Artificial Intelligence) - ML (Machine Learning)

This is a key role with a globally recognised digital consultancy, currently establishing a distinct AI-focused practice—building on the success of an already thriving Data & Digital business. They are looking for a solution sales expert to help define and deliver on the next wave of enterprise impact.

What you’ll be doing:

* Lead the full sales cycle for bespoke AI and ML solutions—from opportunity origination to deal close.
* Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across enterprise clients, focusing on value-driven conversations and solution co-creation.
* Navigate and coordinate across a broad portfolio of services—identifying synergies and guiding prospects to the right parts of the business.
* Contribute to shaping our AI proposition by feeding market insights back into product and delivery teams.
* Align with strategic partners and co-delivery ecosystems to create compelling joint solutions.
* Bring energy, creativity, and drive to industry events, pitch meetings, and network-building efforts.

Who you are:

* A solution-led sales expert with at least 6 years' experience in enterprise IT or digital transformation services.
* Comfortable selling complex architectures—not just point solutions—ideally with AI or ML experience in the mix.
* Familiar with the needs and dynamics of sectors like telecoms, finance, utilities, public sector, retail, or manufacturing.
* Entrepreneurial at heart—you’re excited by the idea of helping shape a growing practice.
* A strong collaborator who sees the value in working across internal teams and strategic partner networks.
* Performance-oriented with a track record of delivering revenue and building strong pipelines.
* Previous experience working within large consultancies or SI environments.
* Eligibility for security clearance (helpful for public sector engagements).
* A strong personal network across relevant verticals or ecosystems.
