Overview
Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group are looking for an exceptional Painter to join us on a full time basis. Excellent rate of pay £17.68 per hour, with optional overtime at £23.51, enhanced sick pay scheme covering up to 6 months, a recommend a friend bonus and a great working environment.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will work across our group of 7 homes (locations across Lothian and Stirlingshire) and be responsible for the preparation and painting and decorating of all internal and external areas of the home to company standards. The role will be working 38 hours per week Monday to Thursday (8 hours) with an earlier finish on a Friday (6 hours).

Main Responsibilities
* Preparation of work areas, applying primers, undercoats, and final finishes, mixing and matching paint, and ensuring a tidy workspace.
* Applying paint and other finishes to walls, ceilings and other surfaces
* Calculating materials required and measuring the work area to complete the work
* Ensuring work is carried out to company standards
* Preparation of the surrounding area to prevent damage
* Collaborating with Facilities Manager on schedule of work for completion
* Working with respect for our residents at all times whilst works are undertaken
* Preparing painting surfaces, including removing old paint, filling holes and cracks and washing walls
* Mixing and matching paints and colours to meet the texture and look required for the project
* Hanging wallpaper, applying paint, varnishing and other finishes
* Cleaning up painting tools and supplies, replacing fixtures and rearranging furniture after completion
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
* Able to multi-task and prioritise workload
* Previous extensive painting and decorating experience
* The ability to maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times
