Role
This position is within the CSOC Threat Intelligence team. The Cyber Security Threat Intelligence Analyst will act as a threat intelligence specialist, analysing and identifying potential security threats to NHS England as identified by the CSOC’s collection and analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Interrogate threat intelligence sources to identify items of interest for triage and analysis.
* Collect and process information from threat intelligence sources to aid the identification of potential cyber threats.
* Contextualise and interpret threats using intelligence models and frameworks.
* Accurately identify indicators of compromise within intelligence items and potential detection opportunities.
* Carry out investigations into intelligence items of significance, identifying opportunities for further lead development.
* Provide specialist CTI support to protective monitoring teams during high-complexity incidents.
* Create intelligence products appropriate for the audience, quoting sources and stating confidence.
* Contribute to the continuous development of the Threat Operations pod.
* Deliver against CSOC security requirements as directed by senior leadership.
* Lead in-depth CTI investigations.
Qualifications
* SC clearance, or eligibility to obtain SC clearance. SC clearance requires five years of continuous UK residency, which may be reduced to three years in certain circumstances with additional overseas checks.
* Experience and knowledge relevant to threat intelligence, cyber security, or related fields.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
