Overview
Operations Training Lead (Site-Based). Location: Leeds. Type: Full-Time.
The Role: We're looking for an experienced Operations Training Lead to own the end-to-end site training experience across induction, operational skills and compliance. This is a hands-on role working closely with site leadership and people managers to ensure colleagues are trained, competent and audit-ready in a fast-paced FMCG/manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a structured blended induction programme (Day 1 to 30/60/90).
* Coach, assess and confirm competence for operational and critical tasks.
* Own and maintain the site training matrix, ensuring statutory and mandatory compliance.
* Coordinate H&S, Food Safety, Environmental and compliance training.
* Maintain accurate training records and support internal and external audits.
* Produce training KPIs and escalate risks where required.
* Partner with Operations, HSE, Technical, Engineering and HR to align training with production needs.
* Drive continuous improvement using learner feedback and training evaluation.
About You
* Essential: Strong experience delivering blended operational training.
* Excellent presentation, facilitation and coaching skills.
* Highly organised with strong time management and communication skills.
* Confident engaging stakeholders at all levels.
* Comfortable working in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
* Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LMS/SharePoint).
* Working knowledge of training evaluation and compliance frameworks.
* Desirable: Level 3 Train the Trainer.
* Level 3 HACCP/Food Safety.
* Internal Auditor qualification.
