A great opportunity has arisen for a proactive production planner to join a leading manufacturing company. Job Description: Coordinate production scheduling to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. Analyse production data and performance to identify areas for improvement. Work with production manager to implement improvement plans. Liaise with the Production/Maintenance Manager for scheduling of preventative maintenance, ensuring machine issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Communicate professionally and effectively, Liaise with buyers, customer services, production teams and sales for forecast and demand Work with Head of Manufacturing & Production Manager to evaluate, implement quality control standards, ensuring customer specifications are met. Be involved in selecting, ordering and purchasing materials as required. Ensure ERP system (Winman) is accurate & up to date, creating new products; updating; auditing and regular housekeeping. Beneficial Skills / Qualifications: Hands on experience in a planning / production role within manufacturing, ideally in timber or sheet material. Excellent communications skills and ability to always work in a professional manner even when under pressure. Excellent I.T. skills including Microsoft Office and Excel. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with internal and external parties. Ability to multitask, excellent organisational skills. Ability and desire to contribute positively to the development of the business through continuous improvement. Additional Details: 26 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays 36.50 hours per week Monday to Friday (7am-3pm with early finish at 2pm on Fridays). There is some flexibility with start / finish times.
