General Sales Manager
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £40,000 - £65,000

The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive dealership in Huddersfield for an experienced and driven General Sales Manager. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for new and used vehicle sales performance, profitability and team development.
You will lead from the front, driving enquiry conversion, stock turn, margin performance and F&I penetration, while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction standards.
Key Responsibilities

Full P&L responsibility for the sales department

Managing Sales Managers, Business Managers and Sales Executives

Driving monthly volume, margin and KPI performance
*
Overseeing stock control, pricing and ageing strategy
*
Maximising finance penetration and ancillary product performance
*
Ensuring FCA compliance and operational standards
*
Building strong manufacturer and group relationships
*
Implementing structured sales processes and daily performance reviews
About You
*
Proven experience as a General Sales Manager or Head of Sales in automotive retail
*
Strong commercial awareness and financial control
*
Track record of delivering consistent volume and profit growth
*
Excellent leadership and team development skills
*
Data-driven and process-focused
*
Full UK Driving Licence
