Teaching Assistant / Midday Assistant Part Time/Permanent
Rivenhall C of E Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting pupil requirements. This position is for 15hrs per week in term time only, supporting our pupils with a range of needs. The hours are from 9am to 12pm and 12pm – 1pm, Monday to Friday. This position will be a permanent position.
In addition to the above Teaching Assistant post we are also offering 5 hours as a Midday Assistant. This position is for 5hrs per week in term time only between 12pm and 1pm, Monday to Friday. This position will be a permanent position.

Selection process:
Applications will be ranked against the person specification for the role.
All shortlisted applicants will be subject to:
* A face to face interview with the selection panel which usually consists of the Head Teacher and members of the senior leadership team.
* A session with a selection of pupils. This could be in the form of an interview, small group work or similar.

Interviews will be held at Rivenhall Primary School as soon as possible. Please note the school does not reimburse candidates for interview expenses.

Key Information for candidates regarding terms and conditions
Fixed Term Post – As soon as possible
Hours per week: 15hrs Teaching Assistant
Initial working pattern: 9am -12pm Monday to Friday – Teaching Assistant
Initial working pattern: 12pm – 1pm Monday to Friday – Midday Assistant
Working weeks per year: 38 weeks
Holiday entitlement: Pro-rated holiday entitlement (includes public holidays) for this post is 43.5 weeks.
The successful candidate will work during each week of term time excluding non-pupil days.
Holiday will be deemed to be taken during school closure periods. There is no entitlement to take holiday during term time.
Pay
The Teaching Assistant post is paid on Pay Scale 3. Point 5. The full time pay range for this Band is £25,583.00 to £25,989 per year and so the actual gross salary range for this part-time post will be £8,652.95 – £8,790.14 per year. These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than 5 years’ service.
The Midday Assistant post is paid on Pay Scale 2. Point 3. The full time pay range for this Band is £24,796 – £25,185.00 per year and so the actual gross salary range for this part-time post will be £8,386.63 – £8,518.24 per year. These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than 5 years’ service.
Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal months per year.
All individuals new to employment with the Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust will be required to satisfactorily complete a six-month probationary period.
