RED now has a new contract opportunity for a Business Analyst to join one of our key partners, for a new Financial Crime Business Analysis project. The contract will be until 31/12/2026.
This contract is to start 9th March and will be hybrid, with 2-3 days per week on-site in London.
This role MUST be PAYE through an umbrella company.
Contractor must be eligible for BPSS.
Specific skills/experience required:
1. Strong experience driving analysis and change delivery across Financial Crime (FC) investigation workflows, including FIU processes (STR/SAR handling, case triage, escalations, and regulatory reporting).
2. Several years of experience in end‑to‑end business analysis, including requirements gathering (BRD/FRD/Use Cases), process design, UAT, and production readiness.
3. Strong expertise translating policy/regulatory changes (FATF, FCA/JMLSG, EU AMLDs) into actionable processes and controls.
4. Deep experience mapping and designing FIU workflows (intake, triage, investigation, escalation, SAR submission) with defined SLAs, hand-offs, audit trails, and control points.
5. Hands-on experience with case management and Transaction Monitoring platforms, such as Actimize, Mantas, SAS, NetReveal, NICE, or Pega.
6. Knowledge of integrations with screening tools (World-Check, Dow Jones, LexisNexis), open banking/APIs, and data warehouses.
7. Experience defining MI/reporting, data lineage, data quality checks, and dashboards for regulatory and committee reporting.
8. Strong delivery experience: UAT planning, execution, defect triage, operational readiness, runbooks, and go-live support.
9. Excellent stakeholder management, including FIU leads, FC Ops, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, and Technology.
10. Strong core BA skills: BPMN process mapping, user stories, traceability, change control, JIRA/Confluence, Agile/Scrum.
11. Excellent communication skills and structured documentation ability for policy, procedures, governance, and regulator-facing materials.
12. Able to join by 9th March 2026
