WorkNest Cyber, is rapidly expanding, helping organisations strengthen their security posture through world-class expertise. To support this growth, we are seeking a payroll assistant to support both HR and Finance functions.
The Payroll Assistant supports the HR and finance functions by ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation. This role involves data entry, record maintenance, verification of payroll information, and assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable handling confidential information.
Role Description:
Payroll Processing
* Assist with preparation and processing of monthly payroll across both the UK and international territories.
* Prepare and record employee data such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits.
* Record sickness and holiday pay in the HR system.
* Record and verify variable pay elements in monthly payroll submissions to ensure accuracy.
* Review and audit payroll reports pre and post submission to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Compliance & Record keeping
* Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
* Assist payroll provider in preparing payroll tax filings and statutory reports.
* Support audits by providing necessary documentation.
Employee Support
* Respond to employee queries on pay, deductions, leave balances, and payroll policies.
* Assist employees with pay slips, tax documents, and other payroll-related information.
Reporting
* Prepare periodic payroll summaries and reports for management.
* Assist with reconciliation of payroll accounts.
* Assist finance and HR team with data reporting relating to employees.
Skills required:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a payroll support role.
* Understanding of payroll principles and statutory requirements.
* Proficiency with MS Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
* Good communication and organisational skills.

Please note that this is a permanent part-time role offering 22.5 hours per week. The position includes some on-site office requirements and operates on a hybrid working basis.
