This role sits at the intersection of financial reporting and strategic project delivery. It’s a perfect fit for someone who enjoys variety, visibility, and meaningful impact.
The Opportunity
The role will lead on core financial reporting while also supporting and driving a range of strategic projects that are central to the group’s growth, transformation, and performance improvement agenda.
Core Responsibilities Include:
* Lead the preparation of consolidated group financial statements
* Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, regulatory updates, and internal controls
* Manage and refine group reporting processes, improving accuracy and timelines
* Partner with external auditors and coordinate group audit deliverables
* Deliver high-quality board and investor reporting packs
* Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles for group and subsidiaries
* Own and evolve the group consolidation model and reporting tools
Strategic & Commercial Project Involvement:
* Deep dive into business units and service line margins, helping shape commercial decision-making
* Support due diligence, valuation modelling, and post-deal integration planning
* Assist with debt structuring, covenant reporting, and working capital optimisation
* Contribute to group-wide initiatives around systems, controls, and automation
* Provide analytical support to senior leadership on capital allocation and strategic planning
* Help embed financial risk management practices and contribute to internal control enhancements
You’ll report to a Finance leader with a strong track record of developing talent and offering genuine exposure to senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We’re looking for a technically sharp, commercially minded individual who brings:
* ACA qualification (or equivalent), trained in a Top 10 accountancy firm
* Strong post-qualified experience, ideally in a complex, multi-entity environment
* A proven ability to work at pace, managing competing priorities with confidence
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capability
* A keen eye for process improvement and analytical thinking
* Experience in IFRS group reporting and an appetite for hands-on project work
On Offer:
* 20-30% Annual Bonus
* Exceptional pension contribution (well above industry standard)
* Hybrid working model and a modern, collaborative office environment
* Enhanced wellbeing and private healthcare benefits
