We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and versatile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, with a strong specialism in carpentry, to join our dedicated team at St Michaels Resort.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the fabric of our resort, ensuring that our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and colleagues alike. While carpentry will be the core focus, this role requires flexibility to support all aspects of maintenance across the resort. From planned preventative maintenance to urgent reactive repairs, you will be hands-on in keeping our resort operating smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out a wide range of carpentry tasks including repairs, installations, and refurbishment projects.
* Support maintenance across other trades (basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs).
* Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and operations.
* Assist with planned preventative maintenance programmes, ensuring resort facilities are kept to a high standard.
* Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
* Work closely with the wider maintenance and operations team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
About You:
* Proven carpentry skills and experience working with wood, fixtures, fittings, and furniture.
* At least 2 years' experience in a maintenance role, ideally within hospitality, leisure, or similar environments.
* Good all-round knowledge of general maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrics, decorating, etc.).
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive "can-do" attitude.
* Flexible and willing to turn your hand to a variety of jobs as needed.
