Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Place of Work: Head Office – Maidstone, ME15 9NE Kent
Responsible to: Maintenance Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm
We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to provide leadership and motivation to our maintenance team at our Head Office in Maidstone, Kent.
The maintenance supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
• To lead a team of five multi-skilled maintenance engineers
• Foster a collaborative and positive team culture focused on achieving business goals
and objectives
• Work closely with the maintenance manager to project plan and prioritise workload
• Work closely with Health and Safety on the management of fire risk assessments
and workplace audits and organising remedial works ensuring effective
communication between departments
• To promote a strong safety culture and adhere to company and statutory procedures
• To plan and prioritise actions from maintenance inspections carried out by others
• To oversee and maintain the builder’s store room at Head Office and arrange regular
collections of the end-of-life pharmacy fridges, WEE, and general builder skips. You
will also be responsible for stock control
• To arrange quotations and invoices with external contractors regarding the larger
maintenance projects and liaise with our accounts department to authorise payments
• To use internal communication channels to streamline processes and receive
reactive and preventative maintenance requests from branches across the estate.
• To allocate jobs to members of the team via a mobile application platform in order of
priority
• To plan and prioritise the need for locksmiths, shutter contractors, glaziers, drainage
contractors, etc. in emergencies, as and when required
• A well-versed understanding of all associated building trades is essential
