Sign-on Bonus: For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-3 years of experience, and up to $20,000 for those with more than 3 years of RN experience!
* Eligible candidates are hired into a full or part-time RN position. Bonus amount is prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible.
* Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.
Work Environment: We are a Level 1 trauma center with 39 operating rooms, offering a fast-paced, exciting team environment. Opportunities exist across many surgical specialties including cardiac, thoracic, vascular, ortho trauma/total joints, neurosurgery, ENT, general, trauma, GU, and pediatrics. We utilize new technology advancements in all specialties. Shifts are 10- or 12-hour.
Experience Requirement: Operating Room RN experience is required.
Summary
The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission, vision, and values by demonstrating excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care according to national standards and institutional policies. Care may be provided across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Minimum Qualifications (KSAs)
* Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
* License/Certifications: Current Maine RN license; relevant specialty certification preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 1 year RN work experience.
* Knowledge: Basic understanding of professional nursing principles, practices, and research.
* Skills: Effective interpersonal, communication, analytical, and crisis management skills. Ability to provide compassionate, healing care for diverse patient populations.
