Role Overview
The Mental Health Educator role will be responsible for the delivery of the Supporting Every Mind Statutory & Mandatory courses and core delivery. This will include on-site responsibility. Along with the Lead Mental Health Educator and the Lead Mental Health Nurse, the postholder will form the Trust's Mental Health Subject Matter Expert (SME) Team. Part of the rolewill include reviewing, refreshing and updating existing training material in line with National Mental Health Guidelines. This will also include supporting the development of any future Mental Health training materials for the Trust., Support the development of educational programmes in line with their scope of practice and Trust educational strategies.Ensure the delivered content of all programmes meets the requirements of the awarding/accrediting body and the standards set by the awarding body and/or Trust's governance requirements.Undertake special projects as determined by Clinical Education Manager or Lead Mental Health Educator.Ensure a high-quality delivery of education and training.Promote best practice in multi-disciplinary working, efficiency and effectiveness with Education and Learning services, systems, values and behaviours.Develop and encourage a learning environment that will identify and provide opportunities for staff to fulfil their role as determined by the Trust.
Responsibilities
