About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Team Leaders to join one of the UK’s leading and rapidly expanding manufacturers based in Clevedon.
This innovative organisation specialises in advanced manufacturing solutions for microelectronic devices, including semiconductors and display technologies, and is a global leader in environmental technology that reduces harmful emissions.
Key Responsibilities
*
o Lead a team of up to 15 within electrical and mechanical assembly
*
o Act as a first-line decision maker on the shop floor
*
o Oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities
*
o Ensure product quality and on-time delivery targets are met
*
o Support, train, and develop team members, including performance reviews
*
o Work closely with the Cell Leader to achieve operational goals
What You’ll Be Doing
*
o Driving team performance to meet customer delivery schedules
*
o Running daily team briefings and setting clear objectives
*
o Motivating and supporting team members to achieve targets
*
o Managing performance and addressing any issues directly
o Promoting a culture of continuous improvement across:

# Safety

# Delivery
+ Cost
*
o Identifying production challenges and collaborating with other departments
*
o Liaising with purchasing and internal stakeholders
*
o Ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards
Experience & Skills Required
*
o Minimum 2 years’ experience leading and developing teams
*
o Background in a make-to-order manufacturing environment
+ Kaizen
+ Bill of Materials (BOM)
+ MRP & Kanban systemsStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, including:
+ 5S / Housekeeping
+ Lean Manufacturing
* Good IT skills (Microsoft Office & Mapics)
Qualifications
*
o HNC in Engineering with 2+ years’ relevant experience, or
*
o Apprenticeship with 4+ years’ manufacturing experience
