In partnership with Legal & General PLC and NatWest Pension Trustee Limited, with hugely ambitious (and very achievable) growth plans, we are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our expanding kitchen team.
You will support the kitchen team in ensuring all food is correctly prepared and presented to customers to the correct standards and quality. Delivering excellent customer service will be second nature to you and you will pride yourself on creating and maintaining exceptional customer relationships.
The Role:
* Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes that are interesting, well prepared and presented to delight the customer
* Working and supporting the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
* Ensuring you and the team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
* Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
* Undertaking preparation of café food (brunches and light lunches) with the Kitchen Assistant.
* Taking deliveries of stock, signing off and completing all relevant paperwork in order to remain compliant.
* Stock taking and stock rotation.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience of working as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a busy kitchen
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
* Working towards a Level 3 in Food Safety or equivalent would be desired
* Creativity and passionate for food design, preparation, nutrition, and presentation.
* Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative without ongoing direct supervision.
