Are you an innovative chemist with a passion for developing sustainable products? We are looking for an experienced R&D Chemist to join a forward-thinking manufacturing business within the construction materials sector. This is a hands-on, laboratory-based role where you will play a key part in product development and innovation.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Develop and formulate new products to meet customer and market requirements
* Improve and optimise existing formulations for performance, cost, and sustainability
* Conduct laboratory trials and testing on raw materials and finished products
* Collaborate with technical and production teams to scale up formulations to manufacturing level
* Record, analyse, and interpret test results, maintaining accurate documentation
* Provide technical support to internal teams and occasionally customers
* Stay up to date with new materials, technologies, and industry developments
What You’ll Bring
* Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline
* Proven experience in R&D, product development, or formulation
* Strong practical laboratory skills with a focus on safety and accuracy
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
* Experience working with construction materials, cements, or polymers
* Knowledge of sustainable or eco-friendly product development
