Senior Project Manager / Employer's Agent

Salary: £55,000 - £68,000 (depending on experience) + Car allowance & Generous benefits package

We are well-established firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use projects across the East and South East, East Midlands and Greater London.
Our services span Cost Management, Employer's Agent, and Project Management, supporting a broad client base that includes Housing Associations, Local Authorities, County Councils, Developers, and Commercial Clients.
With offices in Chelmsford, Norwich, and London, our team delivers projects ranging from one-off bespoke dwellings to large-scale regeneration schemes, commercial developments, infrastructure, education and leisure projects, valued between £50,000 and £100m+.
The Opportunity
Due to continued growth in our Chelmsford office (Springfield), we're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Employer's Agent to take ownership of multiple projects from inception through to completion.
You'll deliver a first-class professional service to our public and private sector clients, managing design, procurement, and construction phases while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, value-driven outcomes.
Reporting to an Associate Director, you'll work collaboratively with a supportive team, with access to technical and administrative support when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage multiple schemes from inception to completion.
* Act as Employer's Agent and Project Manager, overseeing design, specification, and compliance.
* Chair and minute project meetings; prepare and monitor project programmes.
* Manage risk registers, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
* Oversee procurement, contract administration, and post-contract delivery.
* Provide clear communication between clients, consultants, and contractors.
* Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, developing new opportunities.
* Attend local networking events to promote Dunwall Associates and raise our profile.
About You
Essential:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a RICS/CIOB-accredited discipline.
* Strong background in Design & Build procurement and Employer's Agent contract administration.
* Confident communicator with strong client-facing and relationship management skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects to deadlines.
* Computer literate, organised, and detail-oriented.
* Valid UK driving licence and able to move safely around construction sites.
Desirable:
* MRICS / MAPM / MCIOB (or near completion of APC).
* Experience working with Housing Associations and Local Authorities.
* Exposure to multiple sectors including residential, commercial, and regeneration.
* Experience as a CDM Consultant.
* Active involvement in local property or construction networks.
