Marton Gate Manor includes two in-house bars with a Barista Station, restaurant-standard dining rooms, a full beauty and hairdressing salon, a cinema, a bowls green, a greenhouse with raised gardening areas, and outdoor terraced balconies overlooking the surrounding area.
Our Dementia Care Living is situated on a dedicated floor and is designed to create a home-from-home providing a sense of familiarity that helps support and ease our residents to settle into their new surroundings.
Due to an increase in resident numbers we are currently recruiting for Day Senior Care Assistant
Shift pattern 6:45am -7pm Some weekend working required
Full Time 40.25 hours per week.
The role of a Senior care assistant is to ensure the needs of the residents are met in a person-centred way that respects their dignity and promotes independence.
It is essential that all our staff are;
1. Flexible, caring and compassionate.
2. Positive, self-motivated and organised.
3. Willing to undertake any training necessary to develop skills and competency relevant to the role.
4. Sensitive to the needs of others.
5. An active team player and must be able to work on own initiative.
6. Possess good communication skills with colleagues and residents.
Overview of Job Description
7. To either be in overall charge of an entire speciality or to support the person in overall charge in all aspects of the management of the home.
8. To promote the philosophy of Privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all of our clients, treating everyone with respect.
9. To support and guide Care assistants to provide personal care and support residents with a wide range of needs and disabilities.
10. To induct, train and supervise care assistants as required.
11. To safely administer medications to those in your care, using the appropriate documentation in accordance with MAR charts and Yorkare Homes policies.
12. To report and record in the appropriate manner any information considered to be important. Read and write reports in an accurate and timely fashion using the computer systems.
13. To deal with any queries or worries expressed by residents/relatives/visitors and forward on to senior managers if unable to resolve.
