Our client is seeking Qualified Social Workers to join Adult Services within a local authority in the North West, specifically in the Neighbourhood Team. Candidates must have previous experience in Adult Social Care, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act, and Mental Health Act. The team handles safeguarding referrals and manages complex safeguarding cases. Responsibilities include conducting Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, safeguarding, multi-agency collaboration, and duty functions within the team.
You will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government policies, supporting the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Your professional judgment will guide assessments and interventions. Excellent communication skills and significant social work experience are essential for building relationships with service users and partner agencies to meet their needs.
The role requires a commitment to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes, with a focus on supporting vulnerable populations and ensuring efficiency. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference for children and families, aiming to promote their well-being and resilience.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
* Qualified with SW, CSS, DipSW, or a Social Work Degree
* Experience in a Social Services Directorate or statutory/voluntary agency
* Dedicated to continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
* Experience working with diverse client groups
* Proven ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
* Experience in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Minimum 4 years of qualified experience
