Job Description
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across Key Stage 1, supporting pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development. You will play a key role in creating a positive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
You will work closely with colleagues across the school to plan and deliver a creative and inclusive curriculum, ensuring all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging KS1 lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Assess, track, and report on pupil progress effectively
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Use a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
* Support pupils’ personal development, wellbeing, and behaviour
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
* Contribute to wider school life, events, and enrichment activities
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (ECTs encouraged to apply)
* Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
* Excellent classroom management skills
* Passion for delivering engaging and creative lessons
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
